 JACK BE NIMBLE
 Original Rhyme

Jack be nimble,
Jack be quick,
Jack jump over
The candlestick.

The written version of this rhyme can be traced back to 1815, but perhaps it is older than that.  It was said that  it was good luck to be able to jump over the candlestick
without the flame going out.
